
Michael Stefan studied law at Saarland University and at Lausanne University, Switzerland. He soon spezialised in new media law and – inter alia – worked for the Institute for Computer Law in Saarbrücken. Since 1996 Michael Stefan has designed legal information systems for the internet (e.g. "L'espace virtuel. Des échanges d'idées aux transactions commerciales" (Workshop at the institut Universitaire International Luxembourg); Cyberbanking & Law CBL-Journal (http://www.cyberbanking-law.de/ / http://www.cbl-journal.de/), JusData (http://www.jusdata.info/). Since 2002 he has been a member of the Deutsche EDV-Gerichtstag e.V. (http://edvgt.jura.uni-sb.de/).
In 2006 he was admitted to bar in Germany. Since then, Michael Stefan has advised companies regarding trademark strategies, copyright law, data privacy laws and media law, in particular.
Michael Stefan is the author of a number of academic publications and adjunct professor at the “Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg” in Stuttgart for labour law and media law.
